  • Location recordist for THIRST a Snitow-Kaufman production for PBS on Rajendra Singh of Tarun Bharat Sangh (T.B.S.), and the national women’s water meet in Thanaghazi Alwar shot on DVCAM. The film aired on PBS on the 13th of July 2004.
  • Location recordist for a UNESCO docu-fiction on Life Skills shot on DVCAM.
  • Location recordist for a Digital Talkies co-production ‘Do dreams come true’ shot on DVCAM.
  • Sound Design & Mixing for ‘The Vote,’ a documentary film on the U.P. electoral process by Pankaj Rishi Kumar shot on DV SP.
  • Location sound recordist for a year long IFA (Indian Foundation for the Arts) documentary on Punjabi Sufi Music being shot all over Punjab on DVCAM.

  • Location Sound Recordist for a Ford Foundation/UNDP documentary film on Women Empowerment and PDS shot in Zaheerabad on DVSP.
  • Location Sound Recordist for a PSBT documentary ‘On My Own’ film on Single women living alone in Delhi shot on DVCAM.
  • Location Sound Recordist for ’Agnivarsha’, a Hindi feature film, shot in Hampi, Karnataka. The film was directed by Arjun Sajnani and shot by Anil Mehta. The recording was done in MS Stereo. It was released in August 2002.
  • Sound Recordist for a documentary film on the Baul singers of Bengal directed by Oscar-winning, American documentary film director, Murray Lerner. The film was shot in Bolpur and Shantiniketan, West Bengal on DVSP by Ranjan Palit.
  • Recording Engineer for a gospel album recorded at Studio Presto in Kolkata. The album was released in February 2002.
  • Location sound/Sound design/Mixing for ’Kankaal’, a three-part tele-film for ETV Bangla shot in Kolkata. The film was directed by Ranajit Ray and shot on Beta SP.
  • Consultant Sound Recordist for ’Howrah, Howrah’, a German documentary film. The film was shot on 35mm and recorded on a Fostex PD-4 in XY stereo.
  • Live Sound Engineer/recordist for Paras Pather, a Kolkata-based Bangla Rock act. Toured with them in West Bengal. The tour was sponsored by Charms cigarettes.

SRFTI Course Work

 

‘Chota Asmaan’, a 30-minute fiction film shot on 35mm colour and edited on an Avid media composer. Mixed on an Amek Galileo post inline console with VFX, VD and complete automation using JBL monitors. Track-laying done on an OTARI PD-80 an M.O.D. based Digital Audio Workstation.

 

 

 

‘Diesel Cigarettes’, a 1-minute ad-film shot on 35mm colour and tele-cined onto Beta. Edited on Avid. Mixed down on a Soundcraft DC2020 inline console with automation using Genelec 1037B and Alesis Monitor One monitors. Track-laying done on an OTARI PD-80 D.A.W.

 

 

 

‘Maya Bazaar’, a 30-minute documentary shot on Beta using Sennheiser MKH 70 and Neuman KMR 81i microphones. Ambiences recorded on a Tascam DAP-1 digital audio tape (DAT) recorder.

 

 

 

‘Days’, a 4-minute song shot on 35mm colour. Song recorded on DA-98 digital multi-track recorders and mixed down to ¼” two-track analog tape using a Studer A807 two track recorder. Microphones used for recording - Neuman U87, U89, TLM 170, AKG C414 ULS, and Microtech Gefill UM 900.

 

 

 

‘Before Death’, a 4-minute mise-en-scène shot on 35mm colour. Location track recorded on a Nagra 4.2 using Sennheiser MKH 70 microphones.

 

 

 

‘Maya’, a 5-minute dialogue exercise shot on 16mm b/w. Location track recorded on a Nagra 4.2 using Neuman KMR 81i microphones.

 

 

 

Scripted and directed a 4 minute film, ‘Candles and close-ups’ - the story of Hunan, a young hill boy who was scared to swim. Shot in 16mm colour.
